James: The first thing you have to do is be careful of is giving lies too much power. If you have a kid who's mad at you or feels aggravated and powerless, and if he feels he can gain power over you by telling you a lie, he'll use dishonesty to get that power. He'll withhold information and lie by omission when you're trying to get the truth. He'll give you little pieces of information, and that makes him feel powerful. It's a trap for parents. Honesty is important, but if you communicate that too strongly to your children, they will use that to have power over you. You have to keep these things a certain size so that they're not used against you.
Having fun and splashing around in the water during the summer or abroad on holiday is fantastic! But you will have a much better experience with your kids if they have the right swim suit on. Mostly all floating swim suits for kids on the market give UV Protection against the sun, leaving much less of the body area to be covered up by expensive sun creams!
No matter! What age we are, we all like toys. They may start out as soft and easy to chew on but as we get older they get bigger and more expensive. We do all sorts of research on toys when our kids are young but as they get older we tend to just buy without looking into any of the background to see if it is good for our children or not.
